Care & Cleaning

Jewellery care

A few simple habits will keep your stainless steel jewellery looking its best for years to come.

Maintaining & storing

Stainless steel jewellery doesn't tarnish or corrode and doesn't require special care, but it can scratch. Wear and store your pieces in a way that minimises contact with other items. Store them separately from jewellery made of other metals, ideally in individual bags or pouches. If a piece does get scratched, a jeweller can polish it professionally.

Cleaning your jewellery

Stainless steel is easy to keep clean. Follow these steps:

1. Pour warm water into a small bowl and add a little mild dishwashing soap.

2. Dip a soft, lint-free cloth in the soapy water and gently wipe the jewellery clean, rubbing along the polish lines.

3. Wipe away any remaining soap with a moist cloth dipped in clean water.

4. Dry well with a clean towel and leave to air dry. A jewellery polish or polishing cloth will help bring back the shine.

A note on toothpaste

Some people use toothpaste on especially dirty spots. It's abrasive, so if you do use it, choose a non-whitening brand without silica, apply it gently with a soft cloth, and rinse thoroughly afterwards.
